‘The Healthy Generation Contest’ opens
Applications are now open for Russia’s fifth ‘Healthy Generation Contest’, its purpose being to promote ways of protecting the mental health of children and teenagers.
All state and municipal institutions involved in education, science, culture, art, social care and health are eligible to apply, as well as NGOs of all kinds, provided they conform with Russian law. The winners will receive grants to fund experimental health programmes with an emphasis on preventing mental health problems.

The contest is to designed to encourage programmes which:
- Reduce the risk of social isolation, victimisation, violence and aggression, including bullying within educational establishments and the maltreatment of children and teenagers;
- Reduce the risk of emotional breakdown and stress in the personal and professional lives of people involved in education and provide training;
- Support children and teenagers who are carers for older relatives
