Over 250 Thousand Roubles Collected in course of ‘Not Only Children ‘ Event Arranged by ‘All Together’ Conference  

For the first time, organisations devoted to helping children in difficulties have got together to help adults. Those involved are Children’s Hearts, Right Now, Help.org, Sophia, Give Life, Children of Maria, Addresses of Mercy and others. Fund raising in aid of seriously ill adults suffering from such conditions as leukaemia, osteomyelitis, and multiple sclerosis some of whom are in urgent need of surgical intervention, took place through the website www.wse-wmeste.ru over the period 15-30 April. 108 thousand roubles were collected by this means, excluding donations given to constituent charities direct.

‘Not Only Children’ is set to become an annual event. In addition `a children’s festival took place in the Vinzavod Contemporary Arts Centre when many of the children present parted with their savings to help seriously ill adults. Around ten thousand roubles were collected this way. There was a charity auction with a number of charities, and design and publishing companies contributing to a market. The 142 thousand roubles raised were given to fund of pre-operational procedures for one of the sick adults in an Israeli clinic.
