First issue of “Civic Dialogue” now out

 

This magazine was founded and is now published by the Institute for the Problems of Civil Society and is financed from the federal budget. The money was issued as a grant under a  Presidential order (30th June 2007, ?‚??‚?? 367-RF). The first issue included an article by the head of a division in the strategic department for socio-economic reform of the federal Ministry of Economic Development Artem Shadrin “Non-for-profit sector and government priorities”, the president of “No to Alcoholism and Drugs”, member of the Public Chamber of the RF Oleg Zykov “Social reform: a pathway to a civic society”, the vice-chancellor of the State High School of Economics, Lev Yakobson “NPOs and the state: popular view and expectations”, etc. Maria Slobodskaya will act as editor-in-chief. The circulation is 10 000 copies. The first issue of  “Civic Dialogue” contains contributions from  representatives of 104 not-for-profit organisations from Bishkek, Vladimir, Volgograd, Izhevsk, Irkutsk, Kazan, Kaliningrad, Kiev, Makhachkala, Mezhdurechensk, Miassa, Moscow, Nalchik, Nizhniy Novgorod, Novokuybyshevsk, Novosibirsk, Noyabrsk, Omsk, etc. The magazine is for free distribution among public organisations, resource centres, large companies and state authorities.
