The Talantbek thing

For those who don’t know, I picked up a couple of works from an artist called Talantbek Chekirov. He is a superbly talented (or talantbeked) artist from Kygystan (some troubles out there at the moment so I don’t know how long we will be calling that country by that name). Anyway, Talantbek Chekirov paintings got the paintings framed and they look darn good… (I would put pics of the framed versions except the lighting was wrong)

Frederick Edwin Church was born in Hartford, Conn., into a prominent family. At an early age he decided to become an artist. He studied for a short time with Benjamin Coe, then went to Catskill, N.Y., in 1844 to study with Thomas Cole, one of the foremost painters of the Hudson River school. Chassériau was born in Samaná, in Saint Domingue (now the Dominican Republic). His father was a French adventurer who, at the time of Théodore's birth, held an administrative position in what was then a French colony; his mother was the daughter of a Creole landowner.
