HFT is a UK charity dedicated to supporting people with learning disabilities and their families, which genuinely values the people it serves. We have great respect for the individual and we work hard to provide services which not only offer quality care and support but which strive to bring out the best in each person - because everyone has something special and unique to offer.

HFT provides diverse services nationally for over 1,000 people whether in supported living or registered care homes, or via advocacy, supported employment and day services, and we also run many specialist services for people with specific syndromes or complex support needs. We provide inclusive services, individually tailored to each person's needs and wishes.

We also run a free Family Carer Support Service, dedicated to empowering family carers so they and their learning disabled relatives can live full, well-supported lives.  We host and manage the National Family Carer Network which links groups and organisations that support family carers of adults with a learning disability. Family support is the focus of our work in Russia, in partnership with Humanitarian Programmes Support..
