2011 marks the BEARR Trust's 20th anniversary.  The Annual Conference on 18 November accordingly looked back over changes in policy and practice in health and social welfare, and the role of NGOs, over the last 20 years, and prospects for the future.

The BEARR Trust 20th Anniversary Annual Lecture 2011 was held at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on 7 June 2011.  Janet Gunn reports:

The BEARR Trust Annual Conference 2009 was held at BEARR's premises in Southwark on 20 November 2009.

The conference fell on the 20th Anniversary of the UN Declaration on the Rights of the Child, and was devoted to children's issues, with a broad range of speakers from British, Russian and other NGOs as well as subject experts .  See below for the conference report and links to the speakers' slide presentations.

BEARR Small Grants Scheme

The BEARR Trust is pleased to announce its Small Grants Scheme for 2012and invites applications from NGOs and other organisations. Full details are given below.  The deadline is 4 February 2012.
