The Trusthouse Charitable Foundation65 Leadenhall Street, London EC3A 2AD, UK 020 7264 4990 www.trusthousecharitablefoundation.org.uk The Trusthouse Charitable Foundation was formed out of a trust operated by the Council of Forte plc which inherited investments in the Granada Group. The Foundation was registered with the Charity Commissioners in 1997. The objects of the Foundation are such charitable purposes as the Trustees in their discretion from time to time determine. The Trustees have power to apply income and capital to fulfill their objects. The Foundation currently distributes over £2 million each year. The average grant awarded by the Foundation is £5,000. Within the UK The Trustees will consider applications from anywhere in the UK, especially those concerned with areas of deprivation. It is not necessary to be a registered charity in order to apply however applications will only be considered from not-for-profit organisations. The Trustees will also consider applications from charities based in the UK which undertake health care, health education and community projects; and projects supporting charitable work in developing countries. The Foundation currently spends around 10% of its grants budget on overseas projects. Broad Priorities
The Foundation currently makes over 300 grants a year of which the majority are small grants (averaging £5,000). A small number of larger grants (i.e. over £10,000) are awarded each year. The Small Grant Programme (capital and revenue grants)
The Large Grant Programme (capital grants only)
