Since 1990, ACER-RUSSIE has developed a new work orientation : social assistance and support for non-governmental associations. The aim is to support the emergence of an associative fabric being able to bring new answers to many social problems with which Russia is confronted.

The main objectives ACER-RUSSIE

  • To support the emergence of a civil company and an association diversified and representative in Russia:
  • Social assistance and support for Russian associations working with the profit of the most disstressed
  • the Support for the development of the associative structure, reinforcement of its impact in the society
  • Support of the achievement of the objectives of association
  • Making easier the acquisition of competences by training.
The ACER-RUSSIE works in partnership with about thirty Russian associations;- supports local initiatives of assistance for children in orphanages, for prisoners and people in hospitals, for old people, for teenagers in difficulty;The action can take the form of an emergency aid like the purchase of foodstuffs or drugs. But it is located as much as possible on the long term in order to help the partners to reach a stability and a financial autonomy;

- its action towards the children, principal victims of the economic, political and social upheavals directs more particularly which Russia knows: orphans, children of the streets, in detention, handicapped people, seriously sick.

 

The ACER-RUSSIE organizes seminars and conferences in Russia with the participation of French specialists. 

 

 

ACER-RUSSIE is a department of the of Russian Student Christian Action, a non-benefit association, created in March 1930.  

The department of ACER-RUSSIE was founded in 1961 in Paris. Until 1989 a great part of the assistance was intended to the political prisoners and to their families. During all the Soviet period, the ACER-RUSSIE dispatched literature prohibited by the regime, announced Western opinion on the destiny of the religious prisoners. The association carried out with International Amnesty, the ACAT (Translator’s note: Association against torture) of the actions in favor of human rights in the Soviet Union.

 

 

ACER-RUSSIE in France

 
  • publishes a quarterly news bulletin in French language, pulling with 5500 specimens.
  • informs the occidental public opinion by articles in the press and of the interventions to the radio.
  • Organizes press conferences, demonstrations and symposium to show the social condition in Russia.
