Regional Policy Co-ordinator Oxfam GB Closes 29th January!!!Job Title: Regional Policy Coordinator Full details can be found by visiting www.oxfam.org.uk/jobs, quoting reference number INT3094 Location: Oxford, UK Salary: We expect to appoint with the salary range £21,559 to £28,256 Net Per Annum Contract Type: Full Time, Open Ended Job Purpose: To deliver positive change for poor people in the MEEECIS region (Middle East, Eastern Europe & Commonwealth of Independent States) through the effective management of regional programme and policy development processes. Aspects of the role:Supervise and deliver research, evaluation and other strategies for developing a rationale and an evidence base for policy advocacy work Ensure programme design across the region is relevant to both country contexts and to the needs and aspirations of people living in and vulnerable to poverty Work with country teams to identify specific areas of future engagement and ensure that policy work contributes to clearly defined outcomes, in line with Country Strategies. Support country teams to develop policy positions that are informed by programme experience, relevant to their context and in line with Oxfam policy ... and much more Some of the key things that we are looking for:Advanced degree in social science, international development or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in research and policy analysis Significant experience of policy advocacy work in an international development organisation or similar. Knowledge and experience of working on poverty in the Middle East and Commonwealth of Independent States. Significant hands on field experience in managing programme design and implementation gained in at least one international development context, preferably in relation to livelihood's programming. Proven experience in achieving results through capacity building, facilitation and coaching of staff in an international context. |
