New guides to help for vulnerable people in Moscow

‘There’s a place for everyone’ – Where to find help in Moscow

30.09.2019

The Social Information Agency has produced two new information sources for Muscovites: ‘Moscow NGOs: Good Practices’ and ‘Where to Find Help in Moscow’.

‘Where to Find Help in Moscow’ is an infographic for those who have relatives or friends who need constant care. We have collected the already proven services available in Moscow for people with disabilities who need social services or palliative care. We will hopefully be able to consistently add to it: the city and NGOs are always working on services that make life easier for people in need of care and their loved ones. We are grateful to the Old Age in Joy Foundation for their help in compiling the guide.

‘Moscow NGOs: Good Practices’ presents NGO services to help the most vulnerable in the face of possible poverty: families with disabled children, the elderly, adults with disabilities, orphans, the poor etc. Non-profit organisations offer their support to those who need more than is provided by state social services. Their main advantage is the ability to take into account individual characteristics and needs. When creating the resource, ASI was guided by information obtained in surveys of Moscow NGOs. More information on what Moscow non-profit organisations do for people is available on the Social Information Agency website.

These materials were prepared for the Agency for Social Information project ‘There is a Place for Everyone’. The project is realised with the support of the Committee for Public Relations and Youth Policy of the City of Moscow.
