Conference to support families with disabled members will take place on December 2-3

The all-Russian conference “Support for families with disabled members” will be held in Moscow on 2-3 December this year. Representatives of the federal and regional departments and the largest NGOs will make presentations on the various methods of support for families with disabled members. The discussion will include examples of easy-access structures, the setting up of support platforms for families with disabled members, and the creation of supportive environments for people with disabilities.

The conference is organised by Katyusha, the support community for parents with disabilities and for their family members. The programme will include a discussion of the best practices and methods of support for families with disabled members and the development of an accessible architecture of the environment for people with disabilities.

The outcome of the conference will later be published as a collection of materials.
