BEARR Trust annual lecture by Bridget Kendall on 6 June

“Russia and the ‘no rules’ world of President Putin”

Speaker: Bridget Kendall

This year’s Annual Lecture, kindly hosted once again by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), One Exchange Square, London EC2A 2JN, will be at 6pm on 6 June 2019.

Bridget Kendall specialised in Soviet and Russian affairs after graduating from Oxford, pursuing postgraduate studies at Oxford and Harvard.  She joined the BBC in 1983, serving as Moscow correspondent from 1989 to 1995, Washington correspondent from 1994 and diplomatic correspondent from 1998. In 2016 she was elected Master of Peterhouse Cambridge.  She continues to broadcast for the BBC as an external contributor.  She is also a Patron of The BEARR Trust.

The lecture will be followed by a reception, which will allow for further discussion and networking with others with an interest in the field.

The lecture is free, and all are welcome. However, this is The BEARR Trust’s main fund-raising event of the year, and guests are invited to make an advance donation of £25 per person. All proceeds will go towards BEARR’s work to support health and welfare and to strengthen civil society through our Small Grants Scheme.

All are welcome but you must book, using the attached booking form. Please make your donation either via Virgin Money Giving, using this link, or using one of the methods on the booking form.

All names must be given in advance for security reasons so please return the booking form as soon as possible, and at the latest by 2 June. Please note that you should arrive in good time, using EBRD’s One Exchange Square entrance only, to allow for security procedures. No tickets will be issued, but you may assume that if you have sent in your form, places have been reserved for you and your guests.
